How Emesdos works. None of the vocabulary below is required to use it.

Just talk — journals catch everything

  1. journal/note — always succeeds
  2. tagged — automatic
  3. typed at capture — detection, always confirm-gated
  4. typed retrospectively — proposals, propose-gated
  5. linked, composed, watched — the living loops

Collections — storage

What a thing is. Journals, notes, sources, trackers, projects, artifacts, and media — every row lives in exactly one collection.

Tags — about

What a thing is about. Namespaced tags (t/, e/, u/, …) attach topics without relocating the row.

Projects — where

Where work lives. Projects gather rows without becoming a PARA category axis.

Links — how

How things relate. Typed edges (the belief stack rides here) connect rows across collections.

Tracker kinds, link kinds, compose family, model reports, and namespaces are registry-derived on live Astro; the candidate Guide ships the onboarding gradient + substrate layers only until a Contract BFF projects the closed sets.
